Today, being Sunday, was appropriately a rest day but I woke to what promised to be a beautiful day.  After a later than usual start to the day, we visited another Presentation Brothers housewhich had some rather amazing stained glass windows,

and then took a look at the University which was near by.  

Considering that we are in Ireland, I guess it was not surprising that the university had its own church on campus. The church was quite plain when compared to others I have seen, but the floor was covered with the most amazing mosaic.  I was a little surprised that it included the zodiac signs but there you go.  (The photos are not showing that bit, obviously, and the red shoes are not part of the mosaic!)

Some of the group went into the main centre of Cork to check out the shops, but I decided to return to the hotel to read.  I am going to have to start reading about the geology of Orkney and Mull now as I have finished my novels and don't want to buy any more before leaving Ireland. I was slightly over my 20kg limit coming here and have picked up a few things here already (but will dispose of around 2kg of gifts while I am here so maybe I am ok).
